Our hosepipe endures a lot. Five of us use it daily for different activities. From washing muddy wellington boots to filling up the duck’s pond, to watering the hanging baskets. Usually it’s seen as a slithering snake hiding in the grass, only poking out as it sprawls across the drive just waiting for someone to run over it. It’s a mess of leaks that could be infuriating but give us a lot of fun on a warm day as we try to avoid the sprinkler effect!

We’re not the tidiest gardeners, that’s impossible when there are children around, but we are clean. When Hozelock asked us to review their reel we thought why not? Immediately we saw the benefits, as there was no longer a hose coiled on every garden path and even the children could wind the hose back up after use.

This hasn’t stopped it being left out on the drive though! Yet despite being run over it has no holes- so far, so good.

It has also put up with a bit of pecking from the ducks and maintained it’s colour in the bright sun. The attachments make it easy to use and we all have our favourite nozzle. If we had to choose a negative we would say it could do with being a little longer, but we do have quite a lot of land to cover!

All in all it’s a plus!
